Nathan Wakefield and Mikey Branton, formerly of Army of Fools, met Danny Billingsley in September of 2006. They formed Japanese Auto Clinic, a trio of rock and roll evangelists with heavy licks, stomping beats, feedback driven soul and nasty acoustic riffin'. In the middle of recording their first album, Heavy Knife Blues Nathan had to leave the band and they picked up Thomas Pearl to take over on drums. In 2007, the band changed its name to White Light Fever.
