Brave Combo celebrates its 27th year. It's not the silver anniversary, it's not golden - what is it? Well, going by the traditional wedding gift chart it's nothing, and going by the modern chart it's sculpture. TexasGigs isn't into stiffing someone cold and/or wheeling and dealing for sculpture. So we split the middle and offer video interviews.
A lot has been written about Brave Combo over the years. (If you don’t have an overall grasp on what they’re all about, a top choice to start your research is here.) TexasGigs sat down with each of the current members in an intimidating, black background setting fit for an Anthony Mann noir, to get their thoughts about what it’s like to play in one of the most entertaining bands in DFW and beyond. We've also got them in action at the Gypsy Tea Room earlier this month.
If you get the chance, check them out tonight at Sons of Hermann Hall for their anniversary show.

Saturday Tastings in the Wine and Beer Department Little Joey just LOVES the Saturday wine tastings at Central Market - he particularly likes the blind tastings, when he can sneak a snort while Mommie's not looking. (Great nose!) More info

The video clip at the Tea Room looks great, but is there also supposed to be sound? Any suggestions?
