Passing along the following, thanks to Ed Flynn of the Southwest Bluegrass Club.
Local Jams:
Third Sunday: Slow Jam - Southwest Bluegrass Club Jam after the meeting at approximately 4:30 p.m.
Second Monday: Slow Jam at Charley's Guitar Shop, 7:00 p.m - 9:00 p.m. Check Charley's website for more info: charleysguitar.com
Every Tuesday: 6:00 - 8:00 p.m next door to South Main Cafe located at 1222 South Main, Paris, TX 75460.
Every Tuesday**: Slow Jam - **day of the week and location may may change**, check Randy Watkins' website: http://randygwatkins.googlepages.com/ (don't use www - it won't work), he updates it weekly with news about the next jam. There is an email link on the website in case you need to contact Randy.
!! Correction - following jam is on the 4th Thursday, not the 3rd Thursday !!
FOURTH Thursday: DCYC Jam - DCYC (Dallas Corinthian Yacht Club) jam is on the fourth Thursday night of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the club house. The easiest way to get there is to use the Prairie House Restaurant at the intersection of Naylor Road and 380 as a landmark because Naylor Road becomes Yacht Club Road at the Oak Pointe police station 4 way stop and dead ends at the yacht club gate. If you use 380 you can either come to that location from the West (Denton 9 miles) or the East (McKinney 24 miles) and head Southeast down Naylor Road toward Oak Pointe. For those who know how to navigate 720 and 423 you can take McCormick street to the 4 way stop sign at the Oak Point Stop police station and turn left on Yacht Club Road and dead end at the yacht club gate. Key in 9090 and the gate will open. The jam will be in the clubhouse that is dead ahead about 100 yards. If you get lost call me on my cell. We will have the light on for you.
