The Texas Rangers failed to show up Tuesday night against the White Sox, losing in embarrassing fashion 10-2 in Chicago. The loss dropped Texas down to 52-49 on the year.

White Sox pitcher Mark Buehrle completely dominated the Rangers --he threw a no-hitter in his last start against Texas-- pitching on just three days' rest so that he could attend his grandfather's funeral. Buehrle has been nearly unhittable in recent weeks, going 6-2 with a 1.76 ERA, and gave up nothing until rookie Chris Davis' solo home run in the top of the eighth.

Rangers starter Luis Mendoza did not fare nearly so well, giving up six runs off nine hits in just four innings. Mendoza walked two and struck out four before getting yanked in favor of perennial mop-up reliever Dustin Nippert, who promptly gave up another four runs over the final four innings.

Rangers rookie Chris Davis had an excellent night, going 3-for-4 with the home run. Davis now has eight home runs and 16 RBI in his first 22 games.

The Rangers' only other run also came in the top of the eighth, when Marlon Byrd drew a walk with the bases loaded, driving in Ian Kinsler from third.
