Beer Tasting at Kindred Spirits "He must have been an admiral, a sultan, or a king, and to his praises we shall always sing. Look what he has done for us, he's filled us up with cheer! I find Malaga to be a rather charming place to get dinner in McKinney, which isn't exactly full of exciting options. The wine selection is decent and I've practically gotten drunk just from tastes...to make sure I had the right wine with my food.
For the price the food is good but not quite great. The goat cheese stuffed piquillo peppers are a must try and unbeatable when at their best. I can't say I loved the dates myself although that might just be my preference. I've liked the chicken piri piri and the mojete, the new ribs they're trying could be good but it depends on how lucky you are getting meaty ribs (it shouldn't).
Service can be uneven but I've never had bad service. I have had outstanding service when I've sat at the small bar. It's probably the best Texas restaurant I've been to north of Plano, but there's still (a little) room to improve.

I love this spot in downtown McKinney. The small quaint spot is a great place to go with friends. Our favorite is the bacon wrapped dates and their hummus is amazing. We have also tried several of their salad specials. I would highly recommend a visit

Can I just say that gazpacho should not be on the menu in December. What are they thinking?!?! Not that there's cold weather, it is Texas, but tomatoes are at their worst.
I went with a friend to try out this restaurant as we both enjoy Spanish tapas. We ordered a few tapas to share and a glass of Sangria. The tapas were pretty good. The bread was stale. The hostess did offer to bring us more, but returned to the table to let us know they were out and more was in the oven (probably thawing).
We wanted to order more tapas to share. You know, sample more of the items on the menu. But, our waiter NEVER returned to our table. We attempted to get the attention of somebody...anybody really. But no. Our glasses were empty. Our plates were empty and neatly stacked in the middle of the table.
After 30 minutes we finally did get the attention of the hostess and asked for our check. We decided to go to another restaurant.
In summation. The service stinks. This was a Wednesday night and the place was not full. There should not have been any issues with slow or non-existent service.
