Interview w/ Annalee Jefferies, Actress in The Blonde, The Brunette, and the Vengeful Redhead
Dallas Theater Center just opened the one-woman show The Blonde, The Brunette, and the Vengeful Redhead in which the actress has the huge task of playing 7 different people. The characters are male and female and range from ages 4 to 83. Therefore, I had to feature actress, Annalee Jefferies, this week.
We start off by talking about her career and how she fell into acting. She talks about how she got this role and came to Dallas. Since she has been played this role in Cincinnati, I ask her what she thinks of Dallas and the Dallas audiences.
Because it is such an acting challenge to carry a one-woman show, let alone play 7 different characters, I ask her how she is able to perform such a task. I ask her how she prepared to play such a range of characters and makes the audience stay glued to her performance.
She talks about what she wants the audience to ultimately walk away with after seeing her performance. Lastly, I end by asking her about her dream role she has yet to play.
